The latest generation of the Mercedes SLK roadster has been out for long enough to make itself a bit of a popular machine so it’s about time somebody made it feel special again.
Enter the Germans at Vath Tuning. They’ve had a proper look at the Mercedes SLK 350 and quickly come up with places where it could be improved.

They’ve then gone on to actually improve those areas and produced a mildly impressive vehicle for a mildly chosen pricing level.
That’s a little unusual. German car makers are renown for sensible features and decent improvements but tuners from the same country are mostly known for being crazy.

It now produces 330 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque which means that the top speed now goes up to 167 mph. The removal of the speed limiter may have something to do with that as well.
New 20 inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in incredibly thin tires look like comfort has been compromised. This is confirmed when we find out a new sports suspension has been fitted.
This kit is adjustable and allows for a drop in the suspension to go from 20 to 65 mm.
