Piecha Design creates special Mercedes E Class Coupe Cabriolet

German tuner Piecha Design is going through a celebratory moment this month. They’ve given themselves quite the anniversary gift.

It’s a special tuning package for the Mercedes E Class. Oh and they went all mid-life crisis on themselves and tweaked the coupe cabriolet version.

Also in a mid-life crisis version, Piecha Design went for some great addons yet kept away from the rather uncomfortable changes.

There’s no sports suspension here, no run-flat tires, no back killing sports seats and there’s no word on a strengthened chassis.

They do offer a suspension drop to fully complement the newly enlarged 19 inch alloy wheels but it’s optional so no need to worry about that.

The stuff you can really enjoy is the new body kit. Piecha Design’s kit will look similar to the AMG development package but much more distinctive.

It’s made up of an add-on front lower spoiler, a new rear diffuser insert with quad tipped dual exhaust system and a three piece spoiler.

There’s a properly discrete new rear wing and some of the most grown up side skirts ever used in the tuning industry.

It features some LED lights facing downwards so you can take a good look at where you step before getting into the car or when getting out.

What’s particularly interesting about the Piecha Design E Class Coupe Cabrio is some fiddling with the electronics.

They’ve made the throttle response and gear shifts quicker and reworked the roof mechanism so you can put it up or down at up to 40 kph.
