I am not much of a Mercedes-Benz purist but I admire the works of art of their tuning division Brabus. The aftermarket specialists are master at transforming a standard model into an exquisite ride, with plenty of visual enhancements, customized interior and power upgrade under the hood.
The tuner`s latest “masterpiece” is the new X-Class pickup truck, an astounding ute perfectly built for all-terrain conditions. However, with the tuner`s visual and power packages, this particular model is one step closer to perfection.
Starting with power under the hood, the all-new Mercedes-Benz X-Class in the X 250d packs a 2.3-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, with 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.
However, with the tuner`s slight output, this lad here is capable of a total of 211 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque. This means an addition of 21 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque, achieved thanks to a plug and play power module. More than that, word has it that the X350d variant is also in the works for some extra punch under the hood. Details will be released later on.
Moving inside, the cabin has also received a couple of new features which enhance the good looks and cozy feeling. We are dealing here with stainless scuff plates, sport pedals, as well as fine leather upholstery in various of colours with Alcantara accents.
On the outside, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class looks indeed refreshed with the new styling bits. For instance, the pickup truck now features new 20-inch Monoblock X alloy wheels wrapped in 285/45 R 20 tires.
The wheels perfectly match the rest of the new body detailing like updated front grille with mesh and decorative trims, integrated LED side markers, under-body guards front and back, side steps, Brabus lighting module on the roof with twelve LEDS on both sides, as well Brabus sport exhaust system with four tailpipes.
