DMC Tuning know their way round a Lamborghini Aventador

If I’m honest, I don’t think there’s a place in this world for any tuning kits for the Lamborghini Aventador supercar, it is perfect the minute it leaves the factory.

Despite my prejudice I will acknowledge that DMC Tuning have managed to create quite the impressive package for the Sant’Agata Bolognese flagship.

Alongside the presence, it seems to have a price tag of similar proportions. The kit alone costs 163.200 USD which brings the grand total of scary numbers of zeros.

So what exactly do you get from the German tuning company for the same sort of money which would buy you another new supercar?

To start with, you get a big name, the whole thing is now called the DMC Lamborghini Aventador LP900 “Molto Veloce”. I’m shoddy with Italian but I’m pretty sure that translates to “a lot of speed”.

And it’s not just the name you’re paying for DMC tells us they’re tuning the V12 engine to an enormous amount of power, without giving out any actual figures.

LP900 actually hints at 900 horsepower so you know, it might actually be “a lot of speed”. Alongside the engine, the new aerodynamic body kit is made out of carbon fiber.

That’s quite impressive since none of it is wasted on styling, it’s all there for downforce and stability. The same can’t be said for the new alloy wheels.

Those ADV1 units are meant to improve the looks but they just look like shameless ripoffs of the wheels we first saw on the Murcielago.

Worth it? Maybe, maybe not, I’ll wait up for the actual performance figures to decide.
