It may not be a completely dedicated BMW aftermarket shop but it is definitely one of those tuning companies that are crazy about all sorts of products from the German based carmaker. It is called AC Schnitzer from Germany, a specialized company providing exquisite aero kits and performance upgrades for the world`s most outstanding models.
The M235i from BMW`s 2-Series isn’t top of the line and cannot be compared with the ‘baby-M’, but it is a model worth mentioning when it comes to fancy upgrades. The one seen below has also received an ECU remapping that gets it closer to the M2, along with some cool body parts.
We are dealing here with the “ACL2” program, with a carbon fiber aero kit, which comprises new front bumper and splitter, front wings with fins, side skirts, custom rear apron with integrated diffuser, as well as a boot lid wing.
There are also other highlights that make this M235i highly-appreciated, like new hood with vents for engine bay cooling, more prominent wheel arches with stabilizers fins and custom side mirror casings. As for the interior, the technicians from AC Schnitzer have also added custom control display with oil temperature and intake air temperature, along with sport bucket seats, and sports steering wheels, illuminated door sills or aluminum pedals.
Mechanically, this lad here comes with rear limited slip-differential with Drzele diff lock, much bigger and higher-performance brakes, adjustable sport suspension, M4 carbon strut braces and axles, all of them enhancing the car`s driving capabilities.
Performance wise, the M235i by AC Schnitzer comes with an ECU remapping, carbon fiber intake system, carbon tailpipes and downpipe, sports exhaust system with catalytic converter, much lighter battery, all of these making the M235i much more powerful. We are looking here at a total of 570 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. This allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 3.9 seconds, at a topping of 330 km/h.
