Mansory don’t really do tuning. They mostly do outrageous kits that ruin the original look of some actually good looking vehicles to begin with.
A simple example here is the Ferrari 458 Italia. It’s one of the modern age Ferrari models that just don’t get the usual hate for aerodynamic surrender over styling.
You’d imagine that since it’s a very good looking machine, it would be enough for the guys at Mansory but it isn’t. Not even in open top form.
The Ferrari 458 Spider, once at the hands of Mansory, receives lots of modifications to the exterior which are frankly, tasteless.
Along from being a bad choice in terms of styling it’s far from being original since the Monaco Ferrari 458 Italia is actually the same as the Siracusa kit they do for the coupe.
That version was unveiled last year at the SEMA show and we’re not yet sure we’re the official debut of this one will happen.
What we do know is that, like the Mansory Ferrari 458 Italia Siracusa, the Spider Monaco will get a lot of carbon fiber fabrication in its body kit and some pretty tacky wheels.
Alongside the looks, the Mansory 458 Italia Monaco shares the same tuned 4.5 liter V8 with its coupe brethren. 590 hp and 560 Nm of torque are available and there’s 50 less kg to be concerned about.
The changes can’t be ignored but don’t expect the 458 Italia Spider to now be that much quicker than it ever was. What it is much of is uglier than it ever was.
