Ferrari is known for its immaculate sportscars that embody speed and style. Over the years, they have made nothing but amazing sportscars for the masses. But now the trend is shifting and the legendary brand has had to move with it to stay relevant.
The 2023 Ferrari Purosangue is a testament to the brand’s adaptation and commitment towards demand-oriented manufacturing. The Purosangue crossover SUV is the first of its kind and it’s understandably one of the most stylish vehicles to commute out of the Italian company’s design studio. We can’t speak much praise yet, since the SUV is still in testing.
The vehicle was spotted during a test-run, dressed in camoflauged attire. This is the second time the SUV has been caught in the public. We can’t tell much about the design of the vehicle but it does resemble the Maserati Levante at first glance. The abundance of camoflauge makes it almost impossible to spot anything but we were still able to find carbon-ceramic brake rotors hidden underneath. We do know that the vehicle will have four doors with a coupe like roof sloping down the back.
The Ferrari’s name was unveiled in 2018, which means the vehicle has been under development for at least three years, if not more. The company’s management also stressed that the Purosangue will only be released once it’s perfected and not before that.
The 2023 Ferrari Purosangue will be based on a new front-engine chassis that has been in development alongside a new mid-engine chassis.
The front-engine platform is designed to be sufficient for both hybrid and non-hybrid models. In terms of the engine, the 2023 Ferrari Purosangue will get a V8 hybrid as base while a V12 hybrid will also be offered. It is not clear when the Ferrari Purosangue will be revealed but it is expected that the SUV will make its debut in the beginning of 2022. We’ll know more by the end of this year as the prototype takes it signal shape.
