If there’s an American tuner that is pretty economical with the way they create new packages that’ll be Vorsteiner. Just about each time they come up with a new one things have to be explained.
When a tuner’s work needs explanations there’s only two proper options. You’re either talking about minor changes or a lot of them are underneath.
With Vorsteiner, we’re not going to get that much of a performance upgrade for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe so you’ll know it’s all in the detail.
Since they mostly specialize in aerodynamic work it is however pretty decent and it can make quite the big difference with its little changes.
The new package doesn’t come with any actually updated specs but the GTS-V tradition is kept and none of the bits are neglected.
A new carbon fiber front lip, rear boot lid, rear wing and a new rear diffuser make up the changes and, if we’re honest, the latter is the only one you’d immediately notice.
Unlike other kits from the American tuner, there’s no carbon fiber tweaks, improved vents and there’s no change in the side skirts.
As for the performance upgrades, the Vorsteiner GTS-V BMW 1 Series M Coupe only gets a new titanium exhaust system. That ditches some weight and finds another 15 horsepower and 51 lb-ft of torque.
Otherwise, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe is still the same incredibly enjoyable drifiting car we’re all in love with.
There’s a bit of a concern over the pricing Vorsteiner will add to these new components as it’s yet to be announced.
