Don’t want a Ferrari 458 but the McLaren MP4-12C seems a little boring? Well, why not have a look at what German tuner Gemballa has to say about it.
They’ve recently unveiled their take on the British supercar at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s simply called the Gemballa GT and it can be deceiving.
Based on previous Gemballa tuning offers and the redesigned body you’d think this is a fire breathing monster when it really isn’t.
The Gemballa GT is actually little more than an aerodynamic package for the already very fast supercar that has a few cartoonish lines.
Gemballa CEO, Andreas Schwarz tells us they have a practical side as it polishes off some aerodynamic tweaks while also offering considerably lighter wheels.
The Gemballa GT is actually under construction right now. We can admire the new look, but we won’t know what’s going on under the skin for quite a while.
However, if they needed to tune up a very polished aerodynamic body and further lighten some of the lightest alloy wheels on the market, we suppose the performance kit will be amazing.
600 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque is what the 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 delivers at this very moment so we can expect as much as 700-800 ponies to reside under its bonnet.
If they decide to mess with the interior a little, that’s not a big problem but we do hope they don’t swap out the suspension for a rock solid setup that’s “sporty”.
