Lamborghini’s Gallardo is nearing the point of extinction. It won’t be long before it gets replaced by a successor known as the Cabrera.
The “baby Lambo” has been with us since 2003 and over its life it has proven itself time and time again winning various comparison tests and reviewer praise.
Even so, it’s still regarded as an Audi R8 with a higher price tag and different face. And that might just be why all sorts of tuners keep trying to shake that image off.
DMC Tuning did quite a number on this aging rock star and the German tuner now claims it to be an actual raging bull not just a pretty face.
The Germans seem to have the ideal kind of marketing planned but very little actual proof to back everything up. Their product isn’t as cool as they make it out.
All they have to show off on the new styling is a front lip spoiler, aerodynamic side skirts, a new rear diffuser
and a carbon fiber rear wing.
It’s decent stuff, but not revolutionary is it. Don’t think the performance front is that much more different.
All they have is an ECU remap which enables the 5.2 liter V10 engine develop 580 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque. There’s also the option to get an extra 20 ponies via a less restrictive exhaust but that’s about it.
These are still nice things DMC Tuning has done but the 20 inch forged alloy wheels are something I simply cannot forgive.
