Underground Racing unveils twin-turbo Lamborghini Aventador

Ever since Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador there have been two striking things reviewers have been saying about it.

The Italian supercar is simply amazing but it’s a little too restrained for what most people’s idea of a Raging Bull might be, especially a V12 one.

All those “brave men” claiming the Aventador is a little too calming, should have a go in Underground Racing’s latest creation.

The American tuner is essentially offering the same car, with the same basic engine, the same four wheel drive system and pretty much the same ISR gearbox.

Where things get a little different is in the headers, exhaust system, ECU tune-up and, oh yeah, the enormous twin-turbocharger kit.

According to Underground Racing the 6.5 liter V12 engine now develops a staggering 1.200 horsepower. That helps it get from 0 to 62 mph in 2.2 seconds.

Torque hasn’t been announced and nor has the top speed figure but that can be easily estimated.

According to our expert math analysts the top speed of an Underground Racing twin-turbocharged version of the Lamborghini Aventador is “as far as you’re brave enough to go”

Most estimates speak of around 230-240 mph but it’s obvious that making an attempt for such figures isn’t something for the faint-hearted.

It’s certainly not a job for the sort of guys who lived the thrill of the regular Aventador and still claimed it’s a little to calming for their taste.

Underground racing promises to have more details ready and a few other videos as soon as they get round to doing some proper testing.
