Infamous Mercedes tuning specialist Brabus is hard at work on some of the newest, fastest and most expensive three pointed star products.
The 2012 Mercedes SL is about to get “newer”, faster and even more expensive once they’ve had their go at it. Until then, we’re given a preview.
Details are still rather slim and we shouldn’t really expect the world since we’re looking at power kits that were designed for the SL500 and SL600.
If performance is the best interest Brabus is giving you you might want to wait for the juiced up versions of the SL 63 and SL 65 AMG versions.
Until that happens, Brabus tuning will give the R231 version of the SL a lightly modded exterior and a medium amount of extra power.
With no exact figures, Brabus tells us some 100 to 140 horsepower gains can be the minimum expected to come out of the V8 and V12 powered cars.
Monoblock R alloy wheels also go on. These come in a Smoked Liquid Titanium coloring and are available in sizes ranging from 18 to 22 inches.
Inside, the German tuner has made a few upgrades and changes and the Mercedes SL feels a bit more welcoming. Instead of the usual dark and dreary interior we can actually see some warm welcoming colors now.
As you can see, plenty of information is missing about the Brabus Tuning take on the 2012 Mercedes SL. That information will continue to be missing.
This will likely not change until the Paris Motor Show starts, sometime in the fall of this year.
