Whenever I hear of tuning an Alfa Romeo I flinch. I would then ask if its only a performance mod affair to give the tuner a second chance.
When the answer is “no” I begin practicing my aim in order to get ready to take down whoever dared mess with what one of the finest companies in the business did.
That’s just to show you how dedicated I am to the brand. It might be a case of bias but they only make two cars of which they sell ten a year so it’s not going to affect too many cases.
Now that we’ve cleared up my enthusiasm towards the Italian brand, it’s time we took a second look at the actual car in question for the tuning kit.
It’s the flagship model, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and it’s had a bit of a going over from Wheelsandmore. They tackled improving the performance a bit and had a go at the looks as well.
With the performance, the changes are minimal as the 4.7 liter V8 engine only gets ECU mods. You can have one of two stages.
Stage I delivers 470 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, a 20, respectively 22 gain whereas Stage II delivers 485 horsepower and 383 lb-ft, another 15 of each to enjoy.
Nothing to complain about here and, weirdly, there’s nothing to complain about in the styling. I admit the Alfa Romeo 8C’s stock wheels are more to my liking but the new 21 inch forged ones aren’t bad either.
I do like the white paint Wheelsandmore went for and the matte black stripe they ran offside the length of the car has something special about itself as well.
